How Do I Volunteer?

Our rescue depends on our amazing volunteers.

PRBCR has volunteers who serve in all capacities including:

  • Fostering
  • Home visits
  • Evaluating dogs
  • Photographing dogs
  • Transporting
  • Fundraising
  • Event Representation
  • Answering emails

We particularly need foster homes for dogs as they enter the rescue and wait to find their forever homes. You’ll be repaid a thousandfold in unconditional love from your foster pup as well as the satisfaction that you’ve helped a dog on a path to a wonderful new life.

If you can’t foster, we can use your time and talent to help us do home evaluations for potential adopters in the Carolinas and Georgia. We also need people to evaluate dogs in shelters, as well as dogs that are being relinquished by their owners. We also need volunteers to help us transport dogs to their fosters and sometimes even to their forever homes!

We need volunteers who can represent PRBCR during events, such as flyball and agility tournaments, sheep dog trials, and other pet-related activities. And of course, we can always use help with fundraising, which helps us pay our vet bills and save more and more dogs.

Many of our fosters would love help photographing their dogs so we can show their incredible personalities on our website and social media pages. And, we always love when people help spread the word about our adoptable dogs and the work that we do.

If you’d like to be part of the PRBCR team, for fostering, apply to become a foster now, or fill out our volunteer form to help in another way. We couldn’t do it without you!
