	Wow - I didn't know I could be so loved and so happy!
Sofie and Barbara's 1 yr adoption anniversary August 2010. Sofie is still very shy and hesitant around people. We have a strong bond that is good for us both. It makes me so happy to see her not get so scared by her surroundings. It took 6 mo. before I could turn the water on in the kitchen sink because she would go running away. We went to our first dog trials this weekend at a farm in Lawndale, NC. I enjoyed learning about herding. Not sure if Sofie will be interested in herding ( she didn't seem to be) but it was good to get her around people and other animals.      I just want to say thank you to everyone at Phoenix Rising for all you do for these dogs. It breaks my heart when I think what may have been done to Sofie to make her so scared of people. She is a wonderful companion. I'm lucky to have her in my life.
